Welcome to Freddybears Newfoundlands

Fred Hardy & Sue Trower live in Ramsey, just a few miles from the coast of Dovercourt in Essex. They moved down from Dagenham in 2005 after deciding that, having had newfies since 1991, they wanted to breed for themselves and in order to start their breeding programme properly they needed more space, and with their ever growing family of newfies, no near neighbours!!

Fred & Sue created Freddybears Newfoundlands and they are successful breeders of Newfoundland puppies and their aim is to continue producing healthy, chunky puppies for people to enjoy as much as they enjoy their own newfies – as you can see they are addictive!!

 

Fred & Sue have quite a number of Newfies at present ranging in ages from 9 years old down to a few months old, so you can imagine all their spare time (and money!) is spent on feeding, grooming, socialising and basically taking care of the dogs.  They have 5 black newfies, 3 brown newfies and 1 landseer. They also have a Dog-De-Bordeaux called Gizmo.

 

Fred & Sue have always worked their dogs with swimming and carting and have been actively involved in various working groups, as they feel this keeps the newf’s minds stimulated and keeps them healthy – a bored newf is a destructive newf!!

 

Fred & Sue are members of the Newfoundland Club, the Southern Newfoundland Club and are also Kennel Club Accredited Breeders.
